Day 317 – Hang On Snoopy!

Art Apple - Day Three Hundred SeventeenIt was a difficult decision…

The Red Baron, Snoopy with the typewriter, I even considered the image of Snoopy hugging the heart and switching it for a red apple (that would have been cute) but in the end I went with classic Snoopy konked out on top of his now apple shaped dog house hanging on to the stem to keep from falling off the curved top! Doesn’t seem to have bother Woodstock one bit!

Snoopy and I are hanging on – heading down the home stretch.

Until tomorrow.

Love this rendition of Snoopy. There are days that my son (age16), diagnosed last September with AS, feels like he is barely hanging on. Everyday is a new day and he is having more good days then bad now that he is on Methotrexate and Humira. As Mom to this active teenager with AS, there are days I too feel like I am barely hanging on. I look forward to seeing your apples and commentary in my inbox each day. THANK YOU!!!

      Hi Julie,
I’m sorry to hear about your son. AS was so difficult for me to deal with in my 30’s – I simply cannot imagine how to process it at 16. I’m so very glad he has such a great mom and that he is getting good meds. I have a friend here in Denver with AS who was diagnosed at 15 and she is doing very well – in fact her doctors tell her she is in medical remission. Please hold on to hope – and barely hanging on is hanging on!!! Please email me anytime if you need a shoulder and an understanding place to put your concerns or frustrations.
      Big Hug to you!
      Jenna
