Imagine A World Of Kind Hearts

Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one. – John Lennon

I am a dreamer.

I won’t give up seeing an ideal world no matter how hard life tries to squash my hopes. Trouble and hate can seem insurmountable and make us falter and veer off track, but the loving dreamers of the world have to hold on tightly to their kind hearts because if we don’t where will we be then?

When life begins to spin you down, be present enough to sense it and then step outside the whirl.

Change your focus.

Make a shift.

Choose to BE a kind heart.

Until next time,

In The Studio today, April 18, 2012 is perhaps a self-portrait. I’m not sure actually but it came straight from my heart today – I threw all caution to the wind and created like none of you would ever see it. I wish I had figured out the power of creating that way sooner! It is hard to show – there is intensity and chaos and love here and so much more if you look. It is a study – I plan on creating more on a similar vein and then maybe some very large ones as well. I’ve thrown most of my usual favorite tools into creating it. Watercolor, acrylic, wax, graphite, magazine collage, grease pencil, metallic, thread, and just a touch of gold leaf!

* I showed this piece to Doug and told him it was a self portrait – just to see what he’d say. He said, “Well, I don’t get that whole self portrait thing when it doesn’t look like the person but I see a heart.”  Big Love!

Do you feel that your life is at a cross road at this moment?  Could swear I see bits and pieces of a map in your creation.  Love the several layers of your heart!

A crossroads – Yes. Adversity and difficulty are bringing me huge lessons right now and I want to make sure to be present to “see” them. Thank you for leaving a comment – so many layers to our spirits :)

      Big Love, Kind Heart!

Creating from the heart seems to make so much sense, and look what you have created!  Beautiful.

    Amazing Jenna

I want to keep looking at it as it really does have many layers of emotion in it. Please keep throwing caution to the wind and create more pieces like this. I love that John Lennon song, it often makes me cry. Big hugs to you. xxxooo

      Naomi,

You and Betty mean so much to me. I have tears in my eyes from your comment. I hope you are settling into your new home and you and Neal will find love & warmth & family there for years to come.

I think I’ll take a photograph of this piece too – so much is missed in the scan. And… I loved making it and now have visions of many more similar approaches to more pieces. Hope all is well – it must be almost winter there?

      Love,
      Jenna

Simply beautiful Jenna, You are such a blessing in our lives!  i see crosses at the bottom of the heart holding it up and they are small compared to your heart, i also see the heart in a box, as some times we all have put them there. Love & hugs Jan
