It shows the childhood joy of my niece Parker and the love and spirit of my father. I can watch it over and over.
As I watch, I see myself as a little girl flinging myself into my Dad’s arms. I see my childhood. I feel his love and kisses. I remember the giggles and confidence I had that he would be there to catch me and care for me. I know how lucky I am that this man is my father. I love you Bill Dye. I love you because of who you are – unbelievably special, truly kind, and always steadily there. Always with a smile. Always with love. Always my friend. I still see you through the eyes of the childhood me because you have never wavered from exactly who you are.
I love you Daddy.
