ePatient Connections Here I Come!

I am so excited to share with everyone that I will be attending the ePatient Connections conference in Philadelphia next week.

I received an email on Wednesday from Susan Mees, the Vice President, Community Relations at WEGO Health. Many of you may recall that I was one of the finalists in last year’s Wego Health Awards and that I’ve participated in a number of projects and webinars with them including a MMM Virtual Summit presentation about what it means to be a health activist and ways I use social media to reach the ePatient community as well as work to find ways to speak about a number of issues surrounding chronic pain, chronic illness, autoimmune arthritis, and of course – Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Susan said that there was a WEGO Health Press Corps Opportunity for the ePatient Connections Conference and wondered if I might be available to fill in last minute. My response:

“Well, heck ya!”

So here’s the gig, WEGO is sending me to Philly to report on the conference! I’ll be using all my usual social media channels (I’m recapping them below for anyone who would like to follow along in places I share besides right here.) I’ll be tweeting, posting video, asking questions of people in the Healthcare community so please let me know if there is information you’d be especially interested in getting the skinny on.

This is a really big deal for all of us. As I become involved in more and more of these types of events, conferences, and programs then it not only gives ePatients another strong voice but it gives those of us with a form Spondylitis a voice. This is important to me because I go representing you!

This is what I work for – opportunities to share our stories and raise awareness for a need for a cure. And, I promise you that I’ll make you proud.

See you from Philly!
